The Ref move, and Offensive Holding calls...

I was thinking... In our first game last Thursday night, Gross got what, 4 holding calls against him?

They mentioned on the Monday Night Football broadcast that there are a lot of offensive holding calls already in one week of pre-season action, and that it'll be an interesting season.

Now thinking back a bit... It's gonna suck to actually see Peppers playing when Holding will be called now. Because I dunno how many times I've heard Panthers fans (and myself from time to time) wonder "Where's the holding call?!" when Peppers' Jersey was being pulled off of him while making his way toward the QB.

With this possible issue in mind, how will the Peppers', Allen's and Dumervil'sdo in the league this year? With the the holding being called... who's going to step up and get guys like these slowed down?

Funny thing, the Ravens held us to no end and it was never called. The refs will always have bias.

Yea I agree, we were playing in Baltimore. The refs also missed the push off by clayton and the pass interference that prevented gettis from being able to make any play on the ball.

I watched it like 5 times from both angles they showed that night and in slow motion, he didn't get pushed.

If you look again, Clayton was at full arm length from him and he must have realized he couldn't defend the pass so when he felt hands on him he just fell hoping for a call.

Its like in soccer when a guy's shin gets brushed and he flops on the ground.

They always call a lot of penalties in the preseason. It's preseason for the refs too, so they will jump on anything.

And I don't think Captain got pushed, not any more (actually much less) than what usually goes on in the endzone. He slipped.
