Interview Questions

Kettle

Recommended Posts

I am preparing for an interview for a career type position, and am thinking of what the panel will ask me, and also good questions to ask them.

I thought info like this could be helpful to everyone on the huddle. I know there are some higher ups here, and definitely some people that have gone through interview process several times. I personally haven't got a great deal of interview experience with anyone other than my current employer so I'm looking for input.

So what questions do you expect or ask when being interviewed?

Keep in mind I hire warehouse workers for a janitorial company, so things are most likely different in your scenario, but....

I look for questions that help the person understand what their role with the company will be. It shows me that they are thinking about the "big picture" and in my world that goes a long way.

Like I said though, major caveat, cuz sometimes I'm hiring a guy to cut grass and clean toilets. Hope this helps

I always ask situational questions. It seems to be harder for someone to offer good answers to a situational question if they don't know anything about the field.

saltman interviewing for housekeeping position: "If you disturb a male guest in his room, are you going to work "harder" to get your "tip"?"

haha. pimpin aint easy!
