Not sure how accurate this is.  Neither site has updated their info from what I gather.  I am super curious at what 2026 looks like.

It’s nowhere close to the $170M or whatever (for the whopping 26 players that were under contract) people were touting a couple weeks ago. Many failed to realize that cap space number was so big due to the low number of players the Panthers had under contract for next season.

Bobby brown is 3m to cap this year, other contracts are similar. So the big signings are going to count 4-7m this year and then go up to 17-20 next year.

the one year and two year deals offer less flexibility and are usually easier to sniff out except for incentives being either LTBE or ULTBE.

I think it got murtec.

same happen when Dan signed hunt, lewis, and others. I member the cap space was 100million for 2024 in 2023. It was reduced to 25ish, not including shy and horn help.

Icky will need 5th year option and Motown will have dead space as well.

As others have pointed out the number of Panthers is low around 34(if you include 2025 draft picks)

*one big shinning light, the dreaded 50 million per year dead cap should be over then.

I think in the end it will be around 35 million if you include icky 5th(I think its around 23 million)

Other than being the offseason and there isn't much to talk about, why does anyone worry about the cap? We can do whatever we want and still have cap space. You don't think the front office hasn't already figured it out and what they intend to do. Me I am just sitting back and watching. After all my job isn't on the line if we lose. Although at my age we don't have forever if I am going to live to see us play in another superbowl

Is there a reason you think these werent more front loaded?  The backloaded deals always tend to bite us

Wharton goes from 6m to 18m to 19m, his base contract is 45m.

Jackson is 3.7m and 6.8m

Brown goes from 3.1m to 8m to 9.8m

so they are fairly balanced minus year one, I imagine that was done to fit everyone under the current cap.
