Brandon Aiuk incoming?

I dont want to trade for any of these wide receivers deep down. If we make a trade it should be for a defensive guy. The Panthers will have success on offense by running the ball and mixing in the pass next season. No point in overpaying for another receiver right now. Just draft another guy that can bring another dynamic to the offense is the best to do.

The Panthers offense needs speed at the WR position

they don’t have it

if they trade, or draft someone, who does not have that, to take the  over the top  off the defense, it is of no value

right now, they have possession receivers, add that speed receiver and that offense can take off

XL runs a 4.39 in the 40 yard dash.

Panthers O needs quickness to round out the rec corps.    NFL is slam full of guys that can log good 40 times when they train to run good 40 times.

XL isn't quick and shifty.  He is powerful and fast.  We need the vintage PR style WR mixed in that can take a nothing pass and make a guy miss.

The problem is he has brick hands.

The good thing is he has this offseason to make strides improving himself in the fundamentals. Hopefully he does. If not well that's another strike for our lengthy track record with the position. That's the life of a Panthers fan.

We may have made a good call trading him. What we did with the assets is a different story…

Yeah it’s a shame the huge haul of like a second rounder we got for CMC didn’t pan out. fuging Panthers what a joke of a franchise I wish I could stop loving them.

From MVP talks and a record breaking contract to perpetually injured and on the trade block in less than 2 years. Life comes at you fast at the RB position.

That 30 year old wall for RB is only 2 years away. Probably closer to 1 after he was run into the ground here.

Except I still think he ends up turning into a slot WR to extend his career well into his mid 30's.

He keeps his body in amazing shape and he's savvy, he could very well turn into a true elite slot WR from 30-35 and be a difference maker on a contending team because of it.

It's why I always hated trading him, because I think he'll have that 2nd life in the NFL after his RB days are behind him.  He basically would turn into what Deebo has been for them the last few years, except I think he'd do it even better.

    • When I was in my early 20s, this kid wound have been put on a pedestal.  Not only did he get the information from an Atlanta coach, he framed the Saints.  He is on a different level.  Don't get me wrong--it was stupid-- and if I was his dad I would be pissed--but the nerve--the balls---the unbridled disregard for the consequences of the establishment--few people have ever reached this level.  But there are others who were more brilliant, but for these examples, we have to go to the Ivey League and MIT.  Let's start with MIT: During the 1982 season, seven members of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) managed to bury a weather balloon under the field in Harvard's stadium over a three-week period. The meticulous planning and technologically advanced prank led to those MIT students (safely) disrupting the Harvard/Yale game during the second quarter. The balloon, with "MIT" written all over it, inflated to eight feet before popping. The student newspaper at MIT covered the event with a simple, fitting headline. "Saturday's score: MIT 1, Harvard/Yale 0." -------------------- Yes, another Harvard/Yale game. This time, though, MIT wasn't involved. No, this clever trick in 2004 was the brainchild of two Yale students with the assistance of about 20 others. Disguised as "Harvard Pep Squad" members, the Yale students distribute red and white placards to the Crimson crowd. They assured the fans that "Go Harvard" would be spelled out on the cards. In reality? "WE SUCK" appeared on the Harvard side. --------------------------
    • Also remember that essentially Derrick Brown is an offseason addition to the defense too, that’s not insignificant when we’re talking about improving the defense from last year.
