Kenny Moore has "disappeared" since the first week of camp

No way Jarrett gets cut.

for 2010 he looks be the best WR not named Smith....at least from what we have seen thus far.

LaFell looks to be the possession receiver we need, and he's faster than Jarrett. More than anyone else on the roster, he is Jarrett's replacement. Now, who is Smith's replacement should he go down? Who is the quick, speedy guy that can play the slot?

Edwards can be that guy, but he needs time.

I think Jarrett could still be serviceable, but do we really want to committ another year to a guy who still doesn't know the playbook? Is there a future there with him?

looks better based on what? the fact he didn't catch any balls with the starters or backups last Thursday?

Reports are people are impressed with LaFell in camp but reports all confirm that Jarrett is catching everything in his direction.

Edwards could be that guy. But I am strictly looking at it from a 2010 point of view. Hard to imagine in reality LaFell or Edwards will be better than Jarrett this year. They are rookies.

Who says he doesn't know the playbook? The same messageboard posters that made the claim about Matt Moore not knowing it well and being lazy?

No the reports where Jarrett has been having trouble lining up and running the wrong routes in camp from posters that have been there in person.

comments were made about that yes....but people are still overreacting. Steve Smith runs the wrong routes on Sunday occasionally. It happens.

You don't think that b/c of huddle poster hasn't tweeted LaFell lined up wrong he hasn't done it in camp?

He's done it on multiple occasions in camp and last year where Moose had to help him. This isn't a once in a blue moon thing.

I rooted for Jarrett for the longest time, and I still hope he proves me wrong. But the fact of the matter is we've got a lot of young receivers showing promise, and just a few roster spots for them to grab.

Jarrett has great hands, and I would never criticize his ability to catch the ball. It's just discouraging when he is still lining up incorrectly. I don't know if you ever watch him when he's not the target, but he just looks straight lackadaisical out there -- like he's just going through the motions. No speed, no separation.

In reality, I think the coaches will make the right decision and I hope the better athletes win the job. But with Jarrett having one more year on his contract and showing little improvement during his time here, I just wonder if we'll be kicking ourselves for letting someone else go in order to keep Jarrett one more year.

Maybe he'll play lights out this year and we'll resign him, but I just don't see it happening.

Dan Morgan.
