10 Surprising Rookies So Far (3rd Rd-UFA)

Eh, Stewart is head and shoulders above all the RB's you mentioned except maybe Rice. If he was the full-time starter on our team or any of theirs he would almost certainly be considered one of the top 3 backs in the league.

Choice is better than you think (but Stewart is still slightly better). Currently though, a Choice would do us as good as a Stewart.

Sure, with DeAngelo as the starter. But if DeAngelo leaves when his contract is up we'll be a lot better off with Stewart as the starter than we would be with Choice.

I really don't think DW and J-Stew are going anywhere to be honest with you. They've slowly become the face of this franchise... I mean, we run the freakin' ball more than any team in the league and having two capable backs like DW and J-Stew is exactly what this team needs. I liken the situation with New England... they pass the ball a lot, so having two capable receivers like Randy Moss and Wes Welker is essential to their success. Letting DW or J-Stew go just wouldn't make sense, unless you look at it from a business stand point, which then it could become a bit tricky. But as far as how the offense runs, the amount of talent at the position and the fact that we haven't had two capable backs as DW and J-Stew since 2003 and only 2003, it would make absolutely no sense to let either walk.

I still can't believe Atkins or Hardy droped as far as they did. I was wanting us to get Atkins bad. Not to toot my own horn but most of the guys I was big on prior to the draft (Riley Cooper, Atkins, Brian Price, and Skelton) have all had good camps/preseasons.

I'm as baffled as you are. Going into last season (in CFB) Hardy was touted as one of, if not the best draft prospect for 2010 since he returned to school.

Injuries aside, you'd at least think he would go top 3 rounds.
