10 Surprising Rookies So Far (3rd Rd-UFA)

If he doesn't get to play against the Jets' starters, I'll be very surprised. Our defense is finally gonna be back to the old school Foxy style. Run the ball and stop the run, should be interesting. Seriously though, on a side note, DW: 3,000 yards, 20TDs; J-Stew: 2,500 yards, 15 TDs.

WR Jordan Shipley, Bengals (3rd round, 84th overall): Anyone who focused on Shipley while at Texas won't be at all surprised that he's impressed so far with the Bengals. Shipley's toughness, reliable route-running and soft hands have made him the unsung star of a receiving corps dominated by the personalities of Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens.

Im sure this is bothering some Panther Fans...

I've been surprised by Shipley at WR, but not as a returner. Just like it baffled me when Hurney took Stewart when guys like Rice Forte and even Kevin Smith and Choice could be had much later, I have no idea what they saw in Edwards to make them jump up to grab him when returners like Shipley and Banks were around later.

Maybe Stewart and Edwards will turn out to be head and shoulders above the others, but I don't see it.

Eh, Stewart is head and shoulders above all the RB's you mentioned except maybe Rice. If he was the full-time starter on our team or any of theirs he would almost certainly be considered one of the top 3 backs in the league.
