From a business and long term standpoint Hendrickson makes more sense.

My concern is more about the contract we’d have to give Higgins and that I don’t think it’s worth that by itself, let alone also losing our 2nd rounder on top.

If a team trades for him, Higgins is getting a Top 5, if not Top 3 WR contract.

Hendrickson is a 43 defensive end.  I don't think he could really play edge,  so unless we are changing schemes I don't see it happening.

I will say if he makes this trade/contract - it's going to define his term at GM/Boss Boy of Football. 

It could be a great move for him and the Panthers.  Or it could be a massive overpay for a 2nd tier WR who can't carry the load or value of a $30 million a year contract.

I'm not an NFL insider, I have no idea, I'm just spouting my thoughts and ideas.

Idk, Dan’s approach is starting to feel like a lot of the GMs of top-tier franchises - think like the Bills trading for Stefon Diggs.  Yeah, he was good, but was he worth what they gave up at the time?  And when they felt the returns weren’t worth the investment anymore, they cut ties and move on.  The Pats, Chiefs, Ravens, Steelers, they all do it all the time.  They swing big and sometimes they hit, sometimes they miss, but the train doesn’t stop - I think the key is, ultimately FA/trades are supposed to supplement your roster in a very targeted way, while the draft is building the core of who you are as a team.  As long as we draft and develop accordingly, you can afford these big gambles in trades and FA.  It’s what all the best teams do.  I’m hoping that’s what we have now with Morgan.

bengals are known for being just as unreasonable in trades as they are in contract negotiations.

this is probably fake and they’ll probably have to deal with both guys threatening a hold out at some point
