Per Yasinskas: Quarterback Competition?

What is similar is the language. Each system has its own language for each player and each route, gap, assignment etc. It is sometimes hard for guys to make the adjustment from this sytem to a Walsh system or Zampese-Coryell system, whatever.

The difficulty for him wil continue to be the defensive reads and adjustments on offense that are more complicated than the college game. But you are correct probably 50-60% of it was similar to what he ran at ND.

I think he will be fine in that department my only concern is his arm. Some of his passes in that preseason game would have been picked by a better secondary.I am hoping this will change with time and him getting 100% from his toe injury

Moore can silence the mob and this thread by playing well this weekend. I fully expect him to do so and will enjoy watching these threads die, and that is coming from a Clausen fan.

The threads still won't die. There always seems to be a QB debate between panthers fans. Delhomme or Peete, Delhomme or Weinke, Delhimme or Carr, Delhomme or Moore, and now Moore or Clausen. People pick sides and support their guy. Might as well get used to it.

You are probably right but the reality is that if he sucks it up the rest of the preseason he will still be the starter. Then it will give all of the Clausen fans tons to post about and the controversy will reach a new heights.

This is completely 100% true.

Does panthers55 get paid for bringing his vast expanse of football knowledge to our board? He is never wrong. Thank you for sharing so much complex info with us ignorant fans.

I was going to wait to the season to see what happens, but why don't you just tell us now?

You trip me out man...you win...feel better

Not just Panther fans, but most football fans, unless they already have a proven QB.

Never underestimate the ability of Panthers fans to enjoy an imaginary QB controversy.

Pretty much.

Not just Panther fans, but most football fans, unless they already have a proven QB.

You'd be surprised. Even some fanbases with star QBs have their "backup backers".

(check any team's message board after a bad loss; especially a playoff loss)
