yea... i'm pretty much ready to move. i like it here, but i'm a military brat from fort bragg. i'm used to moving around. i feel like i've been here way too long.

Jimmy Johns has THE best bread. Sadly, since this guy's bottom # on the blood pressure was a tad high, I avoid subs like the plague.

I will eat a turkey sandwich from home or one out and about out right sub has like 2k or more in sodium.

Only one mention of Substation II?

Meat sliced fresh off the block only after you order it. That alone makes it better than half the other place mentioned here including subway. Several different breads, plus pita, and regular bread too offered. Way more toppings than Jersey Mikes offers and at least double the toppings Harris Teeter offers. And pickles, jalepenos, banana peppers, spicy mustard, pepperocini, I could go on and on all their offerings made right in front of you to your order.

It's the gold standard of subs when I'm in the mood for one.

^^^ yup. that is the best way to make a sub. Used to work for a local deli, made'em fresh. The only thing we didn't do was was bake the bread. If we had, might still around today....

I get Harris Teeter subs more than anything, but IMO Firehouse is the best... the only thing I ever get at Subway is the meatball.

Just discovered potbellies a few weeks ago. Delicious and cheap.

I miss Jersey Mikes though and a handful of other restaurants in NC.

i like Substation II better than JM

I had a bad experience at a Substation II so I've only eaten there once. It involved someone with dirty hands and no gloves making my sandwich. Something like that will stay with you forever.
