Jerry's lockout strategy could backfire

Jerry Richardson has crossed beyond the point of no return with respect to a lockout. I don't believe there is any convincing him otherwise and I fully expect him to fight any effort and reject any offers by the NFLPA to get a new CBA on the table.

I think there are several other owners in the same boat. I think JR has his agenda and I think he had his mind made up long ago what direction the Panthers were going in and he started the process by replacing his boys. Keep in mind the boys are still part of the ownership group of the team, they are no longer involved in the operation of the team.

Who did the Panthers "purge" that folks didn't want gone and who didn't want to be here? Peppers turned down a contract the previous year that would have made him the highest paid defensive tackle in the NFL. Jake every one including me wanted to be benched or gone. Chris Harris was getting long in tooth. The one player that's gone that is a surprise to me is Lewis, other than that I'm okay with the moves.

So check this out.....

I just thought of this and depending upon how the NFLPU is set up it could or could not work.

All of these players on our team won't be under contract next year. Moore, Williams, Kalil, Beason, Godfrey, Marshall, and Tank + a few others I can't think of.

Now say there is a lockout, if these guys are not under contract with an NFL team then are they a part of NFLPU? I don't know but just for fun lets say they aren't because of a loophole in the system.

The NFLPU stages a hold-out over the CBA, the owners bring in a bunch of scabs to put up a "lost season" but still make a little money. JR offers all of these guys one year 10 million dollar contracts to play for the Panthers, every other team is full of bottom of the barrel guys but us. JR and the Panthers win the SB in '11 with our superior players thus fulfilling JR's promise to bring a title to the Carolinas.

You see!!!!! JR is a fuging genius all of you guys just don't realize it yet! We are SB bound in '11, bank it.

This is all done in fun, please no angry retards spouting off how I am being unrealistic. I already know that it is far out there.

Considering all of the other stuff around here that we can spend our entertainment dollar on, I think Jerry's playing with house money. And even if PSL owners decide to dump their investments, games will still sell out on the strength of visitor ticket sales.
