What about Byron Leftwich?

So, what about it? I know he is not a FA, but does anyone besides me think this guy is a good fit for us. Big arm, pretty accurate, and has some mobility.

He has had some struggles in the past yes, but the game i saw him come in for pittsburgh this year he looked very good. He looks like he is ready for another chance at a starting job.

If this was at all possible, who would want him here?

No thanks. We already lean way too heavily on the "he's got one more in em'---do it for the Gipper" guys. The FA pool is depressing, and rookie QBs are a great risk, but that's the route we need to take IMO.

What about Nate Davis? To borrow some insight from a email I received earlier:

Don't believe the hype. The fumbles and losses in Ball State's last two games did not reveal a quarterback unprepared for primetime. They revealed an offensive coordinator-turned-head coach who spent the postseason attacking Davis' confidence in a desperate attempt to keep the star QB in school for one more season.

I've witnessed some bush moves in my time covering college athletics, but I'm not sure anything matches the amateur hour orchestrated by the university-employed adults allegedly looking out for Davis' best interest. For now, I won't share the gory details.

But I can assure you, when Davis is surrounded by a coaching staff feeding him positive energy and a single-minded message about the next opponent, the kid is special and plays with a natural charisma.

Put him in the right situation, and he'll prove to be the best QB in this draft (or next year's if he comes back for his senior season). He'd be a perfect fit in Carolina.

Yeah, that was in Jason Whitlock's latest article...

    • I think Stroud is trending toward a 15-20 ranked QB rather then top 7 like many have claimed. Young being such a bust and Stroud playing in a horrible division has helped him along. His mechanics have really started to fall apart. Still a win for Houston, he is a legit franchise QB but as a middle of the pack QB he needs more help.
    • Pretty sure there is a kid zone/play 60 setup at romare Bearden park, which is just outside knights stadium, two blocks from boa.
    • 150 million dollars spent on the OL in free agency and he feels bad for Bryce Young. Not the fans who were told by Bryce how he started his offseason watching Netflix and going shopping. Then in the comments there's some maniac rambling about how Bryce actually had a good deep ball in college only to slink away when someone gives him the actual data compared to other Alabama QB's. The disconnect on realistically evaluating him and the bizarre lengths some will go to form excuses is on another level. I'm ready to see how he plays against the Saints at home. Good thing it's already Friday.
