Calderon deal back on again...

According to Steve Kyler, he has reiterated that the Raptors, Bobcats deal is still not dead and the Bobcats seem to have growing interest in Jose Calderon...

It appears that the Bobcats have been showing more interest lately. According to David Aldridge, the Bobcats were supposedly talking trade with the Toronto Raptors, and Indiana Pacers about a three-way trade that would have seen center Erick Dampier head to the Pacers, and point guards Jose Calderon and TJ Ford head to Charlotte and Toronto respectively.

The deal is still being discussed today, so the four teams that already had the trade in place decided to go ahead with the monster swap.

The deal cold be made again with different players this time..

i think the deal in place is DJ and Diaw.. Damp stays right here so we can cut and resign

Makes more sense because the Bobs will then have a glut of PGs. I wouldn't bet on resigning Damp without a deal in place before cutting him. Even if Damp re-signs, I think Nazr is the starter.

Calderon/Livingston

Jax/Hendo

G-Force/Brown

TT/Najera

Nazr/Damp

Hughes, Collins, and Diop fill out the bench with possibly another 3 spot player. I like this lineup a lot better if Diaw stays with the Bobs since he can play either forward spot, though I read that Diaw has gotten lazier this offseason and put on some weight.

That lineup still can't touch

Paul/Livingston

Jax

G-Force/Brown

TT

Oke

and whatever the bench would be filled out with.

forget CP3- he is officially off the table since Collison was traded to the Pacers last week.. it looks more and more like we will eventually have a trade with Toronto for Calderon (we have a hard-on for him)- whoever/whatever is involved in the trade remains to be seen

Yes he is, but I think MJ and the rest of the FO thought taking on Damp would be the asset they needed to get CP3. It didn't work out that way and now I think the Bobs are scrambling to fill the holes and come out as the #7-8 seed in the playoffs this year.
