With all the talk of Moore v. Clausen, I think we can all agree

The silly notions of Hunter Cantwell being the QB2 will not be missed. Of course anyone who is a serious Panthers fan didn't take the Cantwell angle seriously anyway. Perhaps the more intriguing battle will be Cantwell and Pike.

OK, maybe not "more intriguing", but at least one that shouldn't be overlooked.

I think the reason that they put Cantwell back in last night was more of a last whoorah to see if he had it in him for a comeback drive. The next to last series of the came Pike came in to play that one. He only played one all night and I think they gave Cantwell the last series to see if he could win the 3rd spot.

He pretty much faultered on it. Other times during his series, he took Jake Delhommestic time to decide where to throw the ball, thus eating sacks.

I think Pike will win the 3rd spot but its up in the air if we will carry 3 on Sundays.

They put Cantwell back in because Pike hasn't yet learned the 2-minute offense. If any of the QBs is going to the practice squad or gets cut, I would put my money on Pike being the guy who gets moved.

Yes, I think by putting Cantwell back in they pretty much cemented Pike's route to the practice squad. If they at all cared to see him they would have left him in, 2 min drill or not. If anything they didn't want to screw up and blow his trade value.
