Yea all Edwards did in college was be the only player in NCAA Division I (FCS and FBS) history with 10,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards in a career.

He's going to get there fellas. After listening to you guys whine for the last few months I almost wish they would trade him. That way maybe next year I could watch him work out against the Panther secondary. At least then I'd be hearing a different group of Panther fans whine.

As far as I'm concerned with Armanti, he's a project. An expensive project, but a project nonetheless. The guy obviously has a unique skill set as well as talents, otherwise he wouldn't have performed so well and caught the eyes of scouting agents.

Armanti was drafted for his quickness, speed, and intelligence. We need an impact player on ST, and we need ST overall as a whole to step up. With that in mind, other posters hit the nail on the head: This is his first game as PR/WR in the NFL and it's on national television in an absolute downpour. He was having problems catching punts early on, and while his earlier catches were far from pretty, he caught them. Step 1, go!

We also got to see Armanti develop right there in the game. He tried a little shuffle stepping that would've made guys miss in college, but this is the pros. Once he understood that the only way you gain yards is by moving forward, he ripped off a nice 18 yarder.

As for his receiving skills, that is the focus after he has fulfilled his job training to be a PR. Yes, he had a lot of drops. He also didn't get separation, and looked unsure while running routes. That's because he was unsure. I know exactly how he feels being out of his element, but trying hard to grasp things. Armanti strikes me as the type of player that once he understands situations and how he needs to react, he'll turn it up.

I think a lot of people are thinking, "We traded up in the 3rd round to get this guy. We want results."

In the end, I'm not worried. We've made some great draft picks the last few seasons and I'm confident (with fingers crossed, of course) that we made some touchdowns this year too!
