I honesly feel like the Panthers f**ked up the past two drafts in moving up in the draft- EB looks like a child on the field and AE doesn't look like a football player.

Don't make fun of any of the Mod's spelling mistakes. They will just edit their post later on and make you look like a fool.

Honesly, what did I expect?

Actually, I do like him. I have actually had a conversation with him. Seems to be a great guy and appreciates the fans. Just wished she showed a bit more on the field. Maybe in time...

Thats pretty funny. After the first preseason game your saying this. I know your trolling but still funny. Lets just get off the Armanti what a waste of a pic topic for at least a year or two and see if he earns what we gave up for him.

They pick a square peg to fit a round hole and do whatever smashing with the Jon Fox hammer to get it to work (Thomas Davis). Why for the life of me the Panthers don't pick players that play there natural position in college is beyond me.

Yeah, cause that hasn't worked out at all.

I don't have 89's stats for his first rookie preseason game, but a quick check of TCO's archives shows that he scored a 52 yard touchdown run on an end-around against the Jags in Preseason Game 1 in 2001.

Why are we comparing Edwards to 89 though? 89 was a special-teams demon at Utah, while Edwards didn't even play special teams at App State. Here are some of 89's special teams accolades from the Utah web site:

led conference in all-purpose yards per game (140.5 ypg) ... punt return average (17.1 ypg) was best in MWC and fifth in nation ... 29 punt returns for 495 yards ... led nation in punt returns through 10 games (Nov. 13), averaging 20.0 yards per return ... also led nation in punt return average for the weeks of Oct. 16-23 ... set school record for punt return yards in a season (495), despite returning punts in just eight games ... 2 punt returns for touchdowns (70 and 52 yards) vs. New Mexico tied the NCAA record ... 3 total punt returns for touchdowns set school single season record and is tied for second in career books ... named MWC Special Teams Player of the Week against both Air Force (returned 2 punts for 110 yards and 1 touchdown) and New Mexico (4 punt returns for 163 yards and 2 Tds) ... 6 kickoff returns for 169 yards ... averaged 28.2 yards per kickoff return

Here are Edwards' special teams accolades from the App State site:
