I'd say yup, because he cost us more - we need to get a bigger return on investment than a UFA or a low-round pick.

You can't really believe that even if he was an UFA he should be cut after the first game.

Again, I'd say give him 4 pre-season games if he was an UFA. Give him a year or two considering the draft circumstance.
