Wow..this had to happen the year AFTER we lose Julius Peppers???

Chicago is gonna benefit huge from this. There will be more offensive holding called this season than in any previous one and the majority of increased calls will come from the left tackle spot.

Or is Gross just still that bad?

I thought the exact same thing last night... all O-lines hold on basically every play, it's just gonna be seen a lot more now.

Looking at the back of an OT, it's very difficult to tell where the hands are. Not a fan.

Gross was guilty of the false start and the first holding call, but the last holding call he got hosed on. I don't like the new repositioning. The game is already overflagged by zebras. Quarterbacks are gonna suffer the worst on this, because the O-line is going to be gun shy about penalties. On the other hand Jimmy Clausen didn't look to bad under pressure.

Get some younger Umpires out there with more protection and the old method won't even be a problem. Keep putting 50 year olds out there with nothing to protect them and no rules to keep teams from using them to their advantage and of course it is going to be a problem.

Agreed 100%. There were at least four blown holding calls the officials never made on the Ravens. I thought Beason was gonna blow a cylinder after he got held and no call was made.
