I was one of those guys who was pretty unimpressed by Fiammetta last year, and who thought Jackson might give him a run for his money at the fullback spot.

Saying that, I've also gotta say he played really well last night. I think he's coming into his own.

Excellent hands, every ball he caught was out in front and he never let it get into his body. He was always looking for contact like a true FB should and he straight out flattened the inside LB on DWills big run.

I want to check him out on some goal line situations.

His biggest impression on me was he actually made a catch! If you remember last year, he dropped his first 4 passes. He has really bulked up this year and was laying the wood to the linebackers last night. Great investment by the panthers!

I liked what I saw from Fiametta AND Sutton.

Seeing some of our gains last night constantly being called back for Gross holding calls was annoying as s**t.

i like what i saw in him, he has really improved.

The year in the league has also helped.

The kid is a damn good blocker, and has good hands.

Yeah, we definitely know how to pick the pieces for our running game. Just wish we could do the same with our passing game But I'm very impressed by Fiammetta. I wanna see some more pass blocking situations for him though in the next preseason game, see how he holds up against a couple blitzing linebackers. Now we've gotta come up with a new chant for him... I was thinking "Metttttaaaaa." Or just plain "Tony." But I thought that seemed a bit too boring.

The success of Tony Fiametta is essential for the offensive success of this team. His hands and blocking could make this team really unstoppable in short yardage situations.
