Tough call. There is still time to experiment with the lineup and we might see that next time around.

I will say that the situation with Davis might have to be considered here. Making Beason play at WLB only to move him again mid-season in the event Davis can come back is probably asking too much. However, I'm in the camp that believes Davis isn't coming back this season.

I don't think he is, either.

norwood should be starting at the slb and beason at mlb and whoever is best play at the wlb...norwood looks a younger version of james harrison the kid has a motor

Bottom line for me: I hated moving Beason, and still do.

As mentioned before, Meeks' most effective defenses have come with converted safeties playing in the "Will" spot. Yes, Beason is the better linebacker, but someone like Anderson or Williams (if he can get healthy) might ultimately be better suited for that role.

It is way too early. I do like the speed of the team with the 2nd group but Norwood did struggle keeping up with WR and TEs in coverage as a linebacker.

Make a play, tackle and cause chaos is his forte' and has excelled as a DE and LB against SEC quality talent(NFLers!)

Dan Conner showed me enough to feel good about him. He was a top 5 rated LBer in the draft a few years ago and fell B/C of his combine #'s.

I think instincts and play recognition are essential to the success in the MLB spot where speed and athletic ability is key to the WLB position. Dan Conner has a lot of the Former and little of the latter.

I'd say flex the Lbers as on 3rd down Conner comes off and you insert Norwood or Jamar Williams at OLB move Beat to MLB and slide Brayton to the DT. Can you say PASS RUSH!

I just want Beason back in the middle. He looked like a lost dog out there last night. But I'll give this line-up another shot next Thursday... but if magic isn't happening, put Beast back in the middle. Then they could just rotate guys in at either OLB position. Just a thought though...
