``If Lebron is taking mental notes of everyone who is taking shots at him this summer, put me on top of your list! I thought the one hour decision was a punk move. I thought the dance in Miami was a punk move and I was very disappointed that he left Cleveland to join D.Wade's team." (quote from Mike Greenberg`s ESPN morning show)

So 'Bron donates the proceeds from the ESPN special to the Boys and Girls Club, takes a paycut to play for a ring (jesus wept, I hear so many people bitching about athletes that go for the contract rather than the championship) but its all about the money?

Something doesn't add up there.

It adds up. LeBron has exposed the bitchassness in alot of people. Fans, media types, NBA legends, etc its alot of bitchass dudes out here man. On July 3rd its "we love you LeBron please come play for us", on July 8th its "he's a bitch, he aint that good, MJ wouldnt've done that, yadda yadda". Has there ever been an athlete get so much unwarranted hate simply because people wish they could be him and live his life for him? I cant recall.

As for the charity and good deeds, most fans dont care about that stuff. LeBron proved that. When given the chance to applaud him for giving back or criticizing him for his decision where he wants to work, most "fans" went with option 2. And chances are they never give to charity or do very little theirselves. They're too busy being angry about NBA players salaries to feed the homeless or buy a bunch of bikes for kids.

99% of the people who bitch about the "one hour special", watched it, and or followed every second of his free agency this summer that led up to it. Go pull up the old threads when it was going on. LOL. Same goes for the media, ESPN, yahoo, the papers, etc all these dudes made money off of exploiting LeBrons free agency, now they want to stand on a high horse and act like they had nothing to do with it. LOL. 99% of the people bitching on this board would be on their knees if LeBron joined their team, but since he didnt, he's a bitch. LOL. LeBron thanked Cleveland and his owner that day on ESPN and credited them for giving him unconditional support (watch the tape again haters), only for them to turn around and act like they made him and not the other way around. And worse of all, claim LeBron pooted on Cleveland and their owner. LOL. LeBron has kept his nose very clean unlike so many other athletes so for his haters this is pretty much the first and only chance they've had to pile on him the past 7 years.

Yeah I didn't watch it because I knew exactly what it would be. Anything that takes a person one hour to simply say the two words "Miami Heat" is definitely a waste of my time.

But Lebron saw it as an opportunity to drum up support and proceeds for his favorite charity and capitalized on it.

All the chumps whining and bitching about Lebron and his quest for fame and fortune probably still watch ESPN for 70% of their sports information anyway even though ESPN was a 50/50 partner in the shenanigans.

Also they seem to be a disproportionate number of Kobe apologists.

Do you remember that Charles Barkley wore #32 instead of #34 during his last season with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1991-1992?

Break out your Fleer ‘92 Barkley card.

While certainly forgotten, it’s true.

Barkley wore that number to honor Magic Johnson after the Lakers’ star announced he was HIV-positive and retired from the game of basketball prior to that season.

For Barkley, his gesture honoring Johnson was about as memorable as that season was for him as the 76ers finished 8 games under .500.

Already fed up with early playoff exits in previous years, Barkley said enough was enough after the Sixers failed to even qualify for the 1992 NBA Playoffs.

Demanding a trade, Barkley got his wish on this day (June 17th) 17 years ago.

The 76ers sent the All-NBA stud Barkley to the Phoenix Suns for Jeff Hornacek, Tim Perry and Andrew Lang.

For Barkley, the move to Phoeniix would be just what the doctor ordered.

Barkley would win the league MVP and more importantly advance to the NBA Finals in his first season as a Sun.

Unfortunately for Barkley and the Suns, Michael Jordan and the Bulls would stand in the way and knock off Phoenix in six games.

Barkley would never get back to the NBA Finals, thus never winning that championship he so longed for.

The Phoenix Suns recently dealt superstar forward Charles Barkley to the Houston Rockets for four players in the biggest trade of the coming NBA season.

Barkley, who just won an Olympic gold medal as a member of the U.S. men's basketball team (JET, Aug. 19), was sent to the Rockets for key stars Robert Horry and Sam Cassell and bench players Mark Bryant and Chucky Brown.

Barkley, 33, who complained publicly about wanting to be traded to a team that could contend for an NBA title before he retired, got his wish.

The Rockets were back-to-back NBA champions during the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons and vigorously pursued Barkley during the summer.

Prior to this deal, the Rockets had proposed a three-team deal for Barkley before the league nixed it.

Barkley, a 6-foot-4 power forward, will join center Hakeem Olajuwon (HOFer), guards Clyde Drexler (HOFer) and Kenny Smith and Mario Elie-the remaining nucleus of those championship years.

Charles Barkley was drafted by Philly in 84 to a team that featured HOFer Dr. J and HOFer Moses Malone both of which are better than D Wade & Chris Bosh. No championship though. LOL.
