I'm so jaded by the WRs we've drafted I'm not even going to form an opinion until the guy plays.....for multiple years.

I can't remember a rookie receiver that we have had that a writer has emphatically said "He has the job." Jarrett could never overtake Moose...Hell Jarrett couldn't even really work into the slot. IMO LaFell must be pretty impressive for him to be publicized as the starter right now.

We won't know who is going to start on opening day till after the last preseason game. Neither will anyone at ESPN. Besides ESPN has also reported that Clausen will be starting IIRC. They don't know anything about us.

I haven't heard that Dwayne has struggled......I heard he lined up wrong once. I am sure every WR in camp as done something similar.

Or that argument "Jake gives us the best chance to win" and "If Moore was better then Jake he would be starting" we heard all last season. That turned out to be crap. We haven't even played a single preseason game and a 3rd round rookie already has the position. I find that very hard to believe.

I'm keepin my fingers crossed, but in the back of my head, I must remember it's from Pat Yasinkas, and I used to hate him when he wrote for the observer.... But also, since his shift to espn, he's been tolerable to somewhat enjoyable, so who knows...

I don't care who starts, I just hope they deliver on the promise that we've been waiting for for 6 years now...

Amen.I doubt the coaches even know at this point who will be the 2 receiver.I do think they will give LaFell the nod on a toss up.

As far as the post defending DJ,yes he is still young but the fact is he has had problems learning the playbook and running crisp routes...the facts are the facts and until that changes he will and should be considered a big disappointment.
