5 Panthers to watch vs. Baltimore

I keep getting confused about this, articles keep saying that Martin is starting in place of Chris Harris but for the longest time it seemed logical that he would be the FS.

Even the panthers depth chart says so.

I know the safety position on this team can be considered interchangeable at times but this keeps bothering me.

I agree it is confusing since Godfrey is listed as the strong safety and Martin as the FS on the depth chart. And while they are interchangeable in a cover 2, the cover 1 rover we ran much of the second half last year uses them very differently.

I am more excited to see Norwood and Hardy go to work in live action against somebody other than Panther backups. Hardy is my biggest player to watch for this preseason in a Panthers uniform.

I am going to paying attention to everyone. There are far more story lines then he outlined with those five players. After all we will have at least 8 or 9 new starters on the team this year. If 2 guys are vying for each position that gives you 16-18 guys to keep your eye on not counting the returning starters.
