The real story isn't going to be who comes in second, third or fourth, but how they do when they come in.

Honestly there may be some value in coming in later versus early, for example. You will be playing with the second and third string players on offense but going up against the defensive scrubs. At this point it might be an advantage to have Wright or Guy at WR versus Jarrett or Moore. I think our second and third string WRs are as good as the ones slated to start if in fact Jarrett and Moore get the first nod.

Moore has really impressed thus far. I think it's a stretch to say Guy is better than Moore. I do think Wright and Moore are both better than Jarrett. I'm going to need to see a bit more of Guy before I buy into the hype.

The thing is that right now there isn't much difference between the upper echelon and lower echelon receivers. Obviously that would be different if Smith were healthy. There just doesn't seem to be much difference across the roster at some positions in preseason with WR being one of them. If I were the quarterback I would probably prefer LaFell and Wright as my 2 receivers if I could no matter what order I played.

I personally don't think it will really matter when either QB comes in. Hell, I saw Pacman Jones playing against Dallas' first stringers and third stringers. You can't just assume that our 3's will play against their 3's. The coaches are gonna play guys that they need more evaluation on. That's really why Fox has 11 players sitting out. I bet at least five or six of 'em could play tomorrow, but I remember him saying they "have a plan" and that he hopes it works out. My gut instinct says he'll keep his PUP players and minor injured players on standby till the 3rd preseason game... Steve Smith, Otah and J-Stew will probably come in during the 3rd preseason game, to give 'em a few weeks of preparation for Week 1.

This is true for that grey area in the second quarter, and perhaps a series or two right after halftime, but for the most part you are not going to see a full starting offense playing much if at all after the first three or four series.
