Bengals now a superbowl candidate ??

If T.O. sucks so bad...is over the hill etc...how did the Bengals all of a sudden get boosted to the top of the AFC north?

There was a poll on nfl.com on who had a better shot of making the superbowl Bengals or Cowgirls.

Palmer stock is now also sky rocketing in fantasy football.

Its all water under the bridge now, but signing T.O. to a one year contract instantly makes a team a contender.

but... the Bengals did look decent in the 1st quarter against the Cowboys

Superbowl candidates are trotted out by whom? The media.

What does the media love? A circus.

Cincinnati is just that. They have some decent offensive weapons, and Benson has come on strong as a decent RB, but the media will slobber all over TO and Ocho Cinco, get used to that.

I just don't think Palmer is the same QB he used to be. And just because they added TO doesn't necessarily mean they now have three good receivers. Adding him could be a bit of foreshadowing as to the situation with Antonio Bryant. He could still be having knee problems from last season? Attitude problems from last season? All that said, even with TO I don't think they're better than Baltimore. We will find out just how good they are in week 3 I guess.

The season hasn't started yet. Let's see how many Bengals avoid arrest and other travails throughout this upcoming season. Let's see if they can keep everyone alive for that matter!

I believe the media said the same damn thing when TO signed with the Eagles.....and the same thing when he signed with the Cowboys. Refresh my memory.....how many Superbowls did either team win with him.....NONE.

I don't know about Palmer in fantasty football but it is his 2nd year without an injury (he was coming of one last year). They actually have a couple good tight ends this year and they have a lot of receivers. They have a dominant run game and were the 3rd ranked defense last year even after losing their best pash rusher to injury. Both their young talented CBs will have another year under their belt a long with a lot of their other defensive players. They went 6-0 in a tough division.

They just sputtered out at the end of the season when their offense got stagnant.
