The wide receiver position...

The tight ends don't make up for a good, consistent receiver other than steve smith.

You don't think Rosario and Barnidge have come far enough along to become receiving threats along with Smith? Thats what I'm saying.... You get those TE's involved more,(particularly Rosario and Barnidge, King is your blocker) get some consistancy going with some short passes, then when the TE's get more attention than they should, he is gonna hit Smith with the kiss of death, everytime. (don't forget, we are still gonna run the ball like crazy)

Thank you, for completely missing the point.

No, I didn't miss your point....you asked for a consistant WR option, and I gave you 2 options. Why couldn't consistancy be built up with the TE's? how do you know its not in the gameplan? all I'm saying is it works for the colts, cowboys, chargers, falcons...etc. If our regular WR's fail, I trust enough in our tight ends ability to become a regular receiving threat, along with Smith.

I don't understand, when people on here talk about, OMG!! who is our WR2??We already have a guy on our team that is a damn good receiver and can run good routes and can catch the deep ball. Dante Rosario, anyone? I mean. often then not, doesn't he make pretty solid catches and moves upfield good? Me and a couple of my buddies have agreed on that for awhile now.

What has the guy not done to make himself seem like a viable WR threat? We have 2 very capable TE's, with him being the third. I havent worried about the WR position at all, because I know he is gonna get his share of catches.

Also, I think the TE's are going to be used for more than just blocking this year.....anyone else agree? The good thing about Matt is, he is not afraid to evenly distribute the ball.

u know i never thought of that, but they want a WR who can block, run routes, and is a threat. Rosario would be perfect.

You still missing the point. I didn't say anything about receiving threat. I typed very clearly.

There isn't a team in the league that uses its tes to make up for a good consistent receiver tandom. Every team you brought up, have good receivers, that their tight end compliment.

Using tight ends as receivers is great. I never said not to. But you missed my point completely, and ya still do. Good te's don't replace a good consistent receiver (the position) other the steve smith.

Helps if ya can understand the conversation before flapping your gums.

i thought LaFell and Moore have stood out throughout camp?

According what I have read they have. But everyone's got an opinion.

The observer quoted Fox as saying "Lafell has flashed quite a bit".

From what I've seen of Lafell he seems to look similar to Boldin (even kind of looks like him IMO). I think he has the most promise.

Unfortunately, at this point, Edwards seems like a waste of a draft pick. Still want him to succeed though.

If you read my post, you would see that i am not talking about replacing the postion as a whole, i'm saying a receiving threat WITH the WR position. Read closer next time.

I need to read?

I'm not the one who went off on their soap box in multiple threads cause of poor reading ability. Now you are going to back track and say I need to read.

Last I checked, the topic is the receiver position.

I love the use of pass catching tight ends. I never once said I wasn't. You made assumption after assumption.

Have a nice day.
