Wow. Dungy Retires

I look at this with mix emotions.

First, sometimes I think the Colts would have been better off with a coach that maybe fired the troops up more. Over the last 8 years (Colts made the post season all 8 years.) They have gone 1 & done 4 of the 8 times. (And you think the Panthers have something to whine about over Saturday!)

During this span Dungy had 2 HOF 1st ballot locks. Marvin Harrison WR & Peyton Manning QB. Also during that time Dungy's team had to face the NE Patriots 4 times, a team that won the Super Bowl 3 times!

Out of 13 Post season games, Marvin Harrison has only 2, 100 yard games. Peyton Manning also threw pics like Jake Delhomme. Of course the COLTS did win it all a couple of years ago under Tony. :D

Now the COLTS are gong to get Jim Caldwell. Caldwell had a less than stellar career with Wake Forest. In fact, he had a losing record. I was hoping that the COLTS could get Jim Mora Jr as their HC, but he is already slated to take over in Seattle.

Jim Caldwell is a good man, I hope he succeeds except when he plays us.

He didn't succeed at Wake because he tried to pretend that we were Penn State, with the three yards and a cloud of dust offense. Didn't work out to well, although he did win at least one bowl wwith Wake, which is more than Wake's other future NFL coaches (Mackovic and Groh) could say.
