Yeah... This.

The Giants were severely demoralized, they were giving up over 40 points a game in 3/4 of their games at the end of the year.

We embarrassed that entire franchise, and they have had all year to plan their revenge.

Fox also doesn't have the best track record of hot starts either.

This is true, but you also have to remember that Fox won't be starting this season with Delhomme under center, and in this rematch he'll have DW back toting the rock along with big Stew. The only thing that could hold us back in the rematch is if Steve Smith isn't playing, but I'm pretty sure he'll be playing, since he's looking for revenge too. And... you have to take into account that our defensive tackles will be improved over what we had in that game. At least that's what it seems like after Fan Fest. I think we'll win it, the Tampa game and the Bears game, but lose to the Bengals and Saints to start the season off. 3-2 isn't a horrible start, it could be worse.

What was so amazing about that game, was that the Giants were coming off of a blow out win over the Redskins the week before, and they were still in the play off race. Nobody was picking the Panthers to win that game.

yeah what was so annoying was that buck and troy were so ready to slobber all over the giants. Once we got up to around 10-0 they just became pretty quiet. Then at 24-0 they were speechless. It went totally against what they wanted that day.

This is one reason I think the NFL is letting them open up against us. I think they lost a lot of revenue when we rained on the parade. I'm expecting some shady calls going against us.

They handled us alright in 08 with a pretty healthy roster. They were also beat up in 09 like we were.

I guess one thing I see that works to our advantage off the field is how the melted down at the end of the season with the players all bitching. I wonder how stable the locker room is. Maybe the melt down isn't over.

Yep. As much as I hate to say it I just don't have a very good feeling about this game. It's absolutely in the NFL's best interest for the Giants to kill us.

I'm not saying it's going to happen or that that kind of thing even exists. I just see some games that have a good story where one team winning would be better for ratings and press.

Sometimes I just wonder a little bit. I don't think they scheduled the game just because of the back story.
