The only reason I have stayed in here is because you feel the need to bully and harass people because they don't hold the same opinion as you. Guess what bro' date=' I would be willing to bet you're in the minority in thinking Gantt is a good reporter....[/quote']

And you are a wannabee hoping to get affirmation in a message board taking cheap shots at a guy who is getting paid for what you want to do but aren't good enough. Yeah I think that Gantt for the most part does good work which is obviously shared by the top folks at the Observer or he wouldn't get paid for it. Maybe if you stopped throwing stones and paid more attention you could figure out what they see in him that you apparently lack.

Take Cyberjag up on his idea.

Here is an idea.

How about putting a piece you got paid to write about the Panthers against his and lets read both and compare. Then we can all be the judge about whether you are better or worse.

I'm a prep writer so I don't get paid to write about the Panthers....as for the personal attacks like calling me a wannabe and such I can deal without them so this is when I leave this thread....

How about a link to something you've written? You're proud of your work, right? Put something up if you think you've got credibility. Otherwise you're just a troll on a message board, and not a particularly good one at that.

FWIW, I wasn't too happy with what I saw at fan fest. I think I saw a defense that couldn't wait to show the fans what they had worked on, and an offense that couldn't wait to get off the field. Reminded me more of 2009 than of 2008.

Being that I have my email listed on all of my articles, per Observer requirements I'm going to just let you think I'm a troll. I value my privacy and the last thing I want is a bunch of random people emailing me all the time to tell me I have no clue what I'm talking about. If you go back far enough in the lounge you can find the post I made months ago asking people for local sports stories to write about....

THe truth comes out, you aren't a full fledged writer, you haven't written anything about the Panthers and you take cheap shots at guys with out being able to do as well.

As for personal attacks, you came on here and tried to made everyone think you were some kind of great free lance sports writer with lots of credibilty. These attacks were brought on yourself. And when you got nothing, you just slink away blaming personal attacks. LOL

When did I ever claim that I did write about the Panters, or for that matter when did I say I was a "great" freelance writer....I said I was a freelance sports writer for the Observer, which I am.....

I'm not sure how one can be my daddy when he is trying to make it seem like I made myself out to be this amazing freelance writer when I never implied as much....

You came on here all high and mighty wanting people to believe you are actually a writer for the Observer. After he was thru toying with you, it came out....you are a prep writer who gets paid NOTHING by the Observer.

Keep trying...you are an amusing distraction on this otherwise borign Sunday.

As I have already said before I get paid for each article I write for them but go ahead and continue to assume you know better. Also when did I ever act high and mighty....I just said I don't think Gantt is a very good reporter, which is my opinion....

Fair enough. Just admit you are just like the rest of us who post on here with no special knmwledge of the Panthers and stop acting like an insider. You were the one tking pot shots at Gantt and anyone who agrees with him.

Your opinion is as valid as anyone elses here and you have every right to post what you want. BTW where you at fan fest? I didn't see your write up. I would be interested in your observations.

So you want to be treated as credible and for us to take it at face value that you're an authority on the subject, but then you hide behind anonymity. If I wasn't doing the same thing I would think that pretty immature.

BTW, I'm an assistant GM for one of the other teams in the NFC. I can't tell you which one, but thought you would like to know that all the coaches and GMs around the league pretty much think you have your head up your ass. Trust me--I'm an assistant GM. Honest.

I wasn't aware stating my opinion was taking pot shots at someone but that's ok. Yes I was at fan fest, and the reason I haven't written anything about it is because there really isn't much to say. The offense (outside of a select few) looked out of sync and the defense looked much more prepared....

Did I ever ask anyone to take me as a credible source on the Panthers. I couldn't care less if you think I'm credible or not. You must mistake me for someone who cares what message board posters think of them....I get paid to write part-time about prep sports while I finish my degree, that's certainly enough credibility for me.....

Don't put much stock into 7 on 7 drills as far as QBs go. They are more for route running than anything. QBs are told to let all the routes develop before throwing the ball so that all the WRs are on tape and their routes can be scrutinized.

Great point Zod.All to often fans key on the QB in a 7 on 7 drill and not the route running of the WR's.
