Goodson working on pass blocking

Haven't seen this posted, but it looks like Mike Goodson is determined to improve his pass blocking.

He did it by challenging Beason on 1-on-1 pass blocking drills

The players standing nearby erupted when Goodson trotted out and lined up to block Beason. Pass protection has not been his strong suit—maybe one of the reasons he wanted to prove himself—but Goodson did pretty well holding Beason at bay, although the two-time Pro Bowl linebacker did appear to lose his footing on the wet field.

Afterward, Goodson was asked why he boldly chose to block Beason and said, “To be the best, you have to go against the best.”

it happened before the sprain, that was the 2nd or 3rd day of camp I believe that he blocked Beason.

Didn't know that. Surprise nobody caught it....if they did, I certainly didn't see it.

But it's nice to see some initiative by Goodson. If only Jarrett showed any at all....

I think Goodson is going to be a solid part of this team for years. He does what is asked and he has the talent to be a good player. I really like to see him improve his blocking. That will make him a better option for when one of our top 2 guys goes down.
