Panthers Re-Sign Mike Jackson to a 2-year/14.5M deal

Very happy with this signing.  Still young enough at 27 to continue to develop.  He's a good tackler and corner run support is a must in Evero's system.  Tall and physical.

With Bobby Brown on the D line and Michael Jackson in the secondary, if we could just get Lionel Richie at linebacker and dig up Prince Amukamara, the R&B D will gel in perfect harmony.

Solid move. You can't have All-Pros everywhere and this signing means we're not desperate at the position. That's all I'm really looking for our of FA. Don't go into the draft with obvious positions of pure desperation.

I liked Mike Jackson and thought he was a good player. but hearing him speak in his press conference after getting his contract... man he's going to be easy to root for. he got me pumped up just how he was talking about his mindset. respect.

These are the deals that make me happy. Solid players on good contracts. No need to improve to justify the contract and is known to be reliable.

I was curious why it looked like he was headed into the market early but that's a win. I'm shocked no one else would want a solid stsrting CB on that kind of contract.
