Day 1 FA has been a disaster in my opinion… with so many holes… you get safety from terrible team and special teamer from good team to be your starter?  No idea what Morgan is doing.

I mean....players are not going to be beating down the doors to play here, either. Keep that in mind.

I have zero doubt that quite a few players we had interest in were not interested in us at all.

I think today has been a disaster too but Moehrig is nice. New DC last year finally starting using him correctly

The answer to improved depth, maybe. This is not anywhere near a top 40 DE/EDGE in the NFL.

Go watch stuff on him on youtube..YouTube... he has the motor size and growth... injury  cut his season but I think he has upside. The deal represents a chance for him to prove it. This is a Mario Addison signing  all over.  If he stays healthy,  I see a double digit sack guy.

I mean....I definitely don't see that at all.

I certainly hope you are right.

#9 FA this signing period. Young guy who is great against the run, so bookmark this statement. This guy will be a good pick for us.

Dude is ascending  and using this deal to set up his next deal.  Folk gonna look badk at this like when we signed Luvu and Addison. Heart, motor and athleticism  is clearly evident.

    • Reading tea leaves:  The draft is pretty solid at DT (3-4 DE).  I don't think Wharton, and Brown change the fact that we could draft one. Pat Jones does not eliminate a need at Edge. I think we will draft a pure pass rusher.  We are still razor thin at CB.  Getting Jackson back was huge for us, however.  I am not sure how much they like Evans and Bartholomew, but both (especially Evans) played pretty well down the stretch.  Good enough depth?  Conspiracy theory:  Draft Will Johnson and play Jackson at nickel.  It seems to me that we now have 2 Strong Safeties.  We need a free safety or two. I heard nothing about TE or WR today.  Does that mean we will draft those positions?  I really like about 4 Tight Ends in this draft, maybe 5.  WR?  I think the draft is more of a gamble, but I am wondering about TMac right now. The focus in free agency on defense makes sense.  Evero has types and in free agency, you can match a skill set to your needs with more precision than the draft.  The focus was on stopping the run, and with the exception of Wharton, every defensive player excels in that area. Pass rush is still a concern, imo.
    • If McMillan played for Purdue, no one on here would be interested in him.
    • So with cap space, Jaycee’s deal created 9m in space, Tuttle restructure created 3m in space.    need to see the first year of each deal to see where they stand. Team had around 29-30m in space for today’s deals.
