i based my opinion of peppers on his attitude towards charlotte and 07 when we needed leadership the most with the 2.5 sack season/ also dissapearing for half the season ( recently) doesnt help either , im just surprised im the only one who mentioned carr

So peppers hurt your feelings when he left huh? Oh and one bad season... Gotcha

lol no .. he didnt hurt my feelings the fact that he wanted to milk people for money so badly then only play for half of it got under my skin a little... knowing that most of us would play for league minimum and i myself would play for even less

You sound too fickle. Both are top 10 all-time, ridiculous to list them for anything otherwise.

It depends on how you interpret the best and worst player. If you mean least talented players, then yes Jake and Peppers are both way to good to be in that category. If, however, you ask about who cost this franchise the most, then they both need consideration.

Peppers is uber talented, but rarely put his heart and soul into the game and the team. He cost us a ton of $$ and didn't give us an equivalent ROI. If that money could have been used better elsewhere is very open to interpretation.

And Jake did blow in 2008. There were four regular season games where he was absolute garbage and single handedly cost us games, in addition to the playoff meltdown. Randy Fasani is a much less talented QB, but he never really saw the field and didn't end up costing the team nor the franchise as much.

I just shake my head at anyone who has Peppers or Jake on their worst all-time Panther list, for any reason. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I don't think having Peppers or Jake on this type of list is logical at all.

Especially Peppers. The guy has been one of the best defensive ends in the league for nearly a decade. Regardless of whether you feel he was overpaid or didn't play up to his potential, he helped this franchise FAR more than he hurt it.

With that said, I'm glad the Panthers did not give Peppers a long-term deal. He's 30 and will likely go downhill from here on.

In no particular order...

Sean Gilbert

Rae Carruth

Eric Shelton

Natrone Means

Kevin Dyson

Jason Peter

Chuck Smith

Rashard Anderson

Ricardo Colclough

Landon Johnson

I don't include some guys that most would (Jeff Lewis, David Carr, etc.) because the expectations/situations were unrealiztic in the first place.

LOL at the Timmy B haters- the man produced when healthy. If he makes your top ten, then so does Thomas Davis.

No kidding, if it weren't for injuries he would have been a Pro Bowl back for sure.

<------- Although my opinion might be a little bit biased on this one.

Anyone at the Bengals game this year and sees me would know it was me, I highly doubt there will be anyone else in the entire stadium wearing an authentic Biakabutuka jersey.
