This has already been covered. The team ran a lot of soft cover 3 thanks to a talent deficit on defense. Horn did shadow WR1s the season prior and will likely do so again with the right personnel.

We know Jaycee has an injury history 

..but, as I understand it, his not covering the top receiver has everything to do with Evero’s scheme, a scheme Jaycee has been more than frustrated by…we wants to move and follow the top receivers but that is not what Evero does

…know whether that is caused by poor backfield play by the safeties, who knows but that’s what has been said by Jaycee and analysts

We all know that if JC walked or was traded, he’d be a beast somewhere else and we’d just piss and moan over what could’ve been. We got our guy, he’s ours. It’s a risky move but I see the upside. LFG!

He is a top corner, he gets paid like it. End of story. That is how the NFL works.

If he can stay healthy, well worth the investment.  We also need him to follow their top receive more but not sure if that's really possible in Evero's scheme

Horn barely played that year.   Just watch the highlight reel of one of the games.  Horn 100% was not traveling with Mike Evans.  Just playing his side.

A corner traveling with a receiver is 100% coaches decision.  Stop bringing this up as it it devalued a players talent.

Oof. Hate the contract, but also in a spot where we had to as barren of talent as we are. Eventually you have to pay your own.
