Fan Fest - Who is going?

20 bucks and they still had 30k ? 20 bucks here and there would be maybe 2k.

That's because we suck.

Having it at night is a really good idea. I know a lot of people including myself who don't go or kind of dread going because of the August heat.

On a side note...people keep talking about how hot it was for TC this year, but I heard an interview with Beason and Moore the other day and they asked them what the biggest surprise was in Training Camp and Beason said no question that it was the nice weather (up until a couple of days ago) and not brutally hot like years past. I guess even the term "nice weather" is still hot down there though.

I've never gotten a shady spot, that'd probably be OK. In the past I'd get as close as possible and then move up to get some air around me but it's usually not better. In the summer it seems there is zero breeze in the stadium but in Dec it's windy a hell.

I am planning on going w/ a co-worker (fellow panther fan), went the last few years. last year i got some great autographs for my panther room, Stew autographed a jersey, D-will my hat, along w/ goodson and a bunch of D-lineman.

get there early and get a front row seat, pretty fun event for free.

I'm planning on being there. I usually have no problems finding seats in the shady section. The largest attendance that I know of was around 12K in the years that I have gone.

It would be nice if they had it at night. While I appreciate what they do for the fans, I agree they could do a little more.

    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
    • Well, we got our answer on Army today.
    • Not a chance the SEC could compete with the NFL.  In the large cities that are not in the Southeast, (LA, NYC, Chicago, SF) College football is an afterthought.
