Fan Fest - Who is going?

The big thing for me is that I am not a Panthers fan but I am a fan of football so I have been a couple of times. It just seems like they could do more, but it is a free event which is nice and it gives people who might not be able to afford tickets to a real game or drive to TC a chance to see the team in person.

They should have the actual practice in the evening (around 7pm) and I think more people would go and make a day out of it. More like a carnival type atmosphere with more fan interaction, raffles, giveaways, etc. Turn it more into a pep rally than just a practice.

see I knew i was not alone in this.....I think the time spent getting there is not really worth the practice on the field

I'd like to go. I'd love to watch the team practice. But every time I go it ends up being miserable. Everyone jammed up in those seats like sardines...it gets unbearably hot and stale.

I haven't been in a couple of years but isn't the stadium only about 20% or so full for fanfest? If I remember correctly even the lower level had plenty of space so you didn't feel jammed up next to people. Guess it depends on how close to the action you want to get. It does always seems to be unbearably hot and stale though.

I think he means in the shaded seats.

Hey JR, did Philly ever do a fan fest type thing and was there attendance?

The have something called Flight Night and it is pretty succesful from what I hear. I think this years was Tuesday night and I am not sure of the attendance #'s. Last year they had 30K + I believe.

I believe they charge $20 per ticket though with all proceeds going to charity.

20 bucks and they still had 30k ? 20 bucks here and there would be maybe 2k.

This years was actually last night: 31K attendance

Rocky soundtrack, fireworks, smoke machine, and gyrating cheerleaders will draw them in every time. :) But note that it was at night also.

The giant eagle head was inflated, the Rocky soundtrack cued up, the smoke machine churning, and the cheerleaders gyrating.

The added pyrotechnics were for Flight Night, an annual open practice that raises money for the team's charity and allows fans who usually can't get tickets a chance to attend an event at the stadium.

Money raised through Flight Night goes to the Eagles Youth Partnership, which provides health and education programs for low-income children in the Philadelphia area.

No fan fest, no TC this year either. It's too hot. I'd rather be in the pool.

I'll be there for the preseason games though. I'm hoping to take my son to his first NFL game. He will be four soon so I'm hoping he will last at least 2 quarters. I'm prepared to spend a small fortune on concessions to help keep him in his seat and entertained.
