Its a sad commentary on America when our young people equate fame with success.

exactly success is whatever one makes it out to be. success to one could be failure to others. one person could think becoming a millionare is being a success and others could think money doesnt matter and having a family is a success, neither would be wrong.

there is no way i could sit here and say the jersey shore characters are more successful then any of you because i dont know any of you. but who are you people to say those kids are jokes and all ****** are complete jokes (once agan i am not a guid but i accept i am going to get called one over and over again). this is a fan forum and you guys calling me a guido will have no effect on me. but it is pretty ridiculous that bunch of people on here can sit and hide behind their computer screens and make comments and talk about how big of a jokes they are because of their lifestyles.

Guido is a derogatory term used to describe italians. now i have lived in charlotte for school, and where i come from there is not a huge african american community so it was a new experience for me when i lived down there. there were black people who wore there shorts real low, always getting high, and talking like complete morons. never once did i label them and bash their lifestyle because its not for me to say. I didnt go around saying oh hey look at those "N" word.

so maybe you guys shouldnt judge them for their lifestyle, because there making some pretty damn good money and having a heck of a time doing it. they are also gaining celebrity status from drinking and having sex.

So let me see if I have this straight....the guy that stresses the point of how much better the education system is (including colleges) in NJ compared to NC came down to NC to go to college?

i have also stated in other threads that it was the biggest regret of my life and i am not just saying that for the point of this forum. out of everything i wrote way to pick out the least important part of the post to start a fight.

going into college i wanted to be a finance major and wanted to get away from home so i could gain experience and grow as a person. i did not want to go anywhere in new jersey, new york, or pennsylvania. i did my research and saw that charlotte was the number 2 banking industry in the country behind new york so i applied to uncc and went to visit. yes the campus was beautiful and with the banking industry i was sold. it was an awful 4 years to say the least, and no one on this board can sit here and tell me the education at UNCC is top notch, i have a diploma from there and am saying it.

i was on the road back to NJ 15 minutes after graduation and got my master and did all my CPA work up at rutgers. (changed my major to accounting).
