I'm curious about the stock market tomorrow.

Sorry for the derail... But it was weird that you posted this...

For some reason, I have had a similar feeling all week... I occasionally pull up WRAL during the workday, and sometimes I will glance at the DOW number... Nearly every time I looked this week, it was at 10,6XX... basically no change at all.. I kept thinking, "Damn, some poo is about to go down"...

I hope we are both wrong...

I hope I'm totally wrong too. It just feels like time for some profit taking and people loading up on some cash for college and final vacation trips of the summer.

I made good money back in the day on just the above thought process alone. But, even a blind chimp with tourette's could have made money.

I will pass along a little bit of information that a Portfolio Manger told my former boss about a year ago. "Dump your stocks and put the money into precious metals!

As the Stock market goes down, the price of precious metals goes up. As the Stock market goes up, precious metal stay steady or rises slightly.

There's a reason that I have ventured into buying old silver coins and pennies.

There are companies out there who will do the investing for you, if you don't want to keep a hoard of precious metals at your house. Their track record beats the Dow Jones any day of the week.

What do I know? There is a rumor out there that the Obama Administration wants to go back to the pre-Nixon days and make it illegal for ordinary citizens to own Gold and maybe silver again. To get people to put their money back into the stock market. (Which if that happens, I hope that it goes down in flames! Maybe Obama along with it, if it's true.)

It wouldn't hurt to have some of your portfolio into precious metals.
