If we're rating these guys simply by their ability as football players, I would say:

1. Steve Smith

2. Julius Peppers

3. Kevin Greene

4. Wesley Walls

5. John Kasay

6. Jake Delhomme

7. Jordan Gross

8. Moose

9. Sam Mills

10. Stephen Davis

You underestimate Deangelo.

1. Smitty - Unrivaled as a Panther in our entire existence as a franchise

2. Mills - Early face of the organization, and a symbol of perseverance

3. Beason - New face of the organization, and maybe the best leader we have ever had

4. Greene - Firey on the field, and made those around him better... passion for the game

5. Pep - Probably the best all around athlete we have ever had, and made those around him better

6. Walls - One of the best TEs ever... Team player, and good guy on and off the field

7. Moose - One of the best blocking WRs in the league since he came into it... Carried our offense more than he should have at times

8. Jake - Brought passion and fire to an organization that never really had much from the QB spot... Helped us get to the big game

9. Carrier - Probably one of the most underrated and underappreciated WRs to ever play football

10. Kasay - Loyal, a good role model for teammates, and a company man that has been with us the entire time

3. Beason (maybe not yet, but when all is said and done...)

4. Steven Davis (our best FA acquisition who is not a special teamer, gave us a Super Bowl birth, which trumphs the lack of longevity in black and blue)

5. Julius Peppers (the fact that he is not #1 is a shame)

6. Moose (Better when the ball did not come to him than when it did, but he was pretty good then).

7. Jake (See Steven Davis)

8. Jordan Gross (Our best OL ever)

9. Eric Davis (one of our better free agent acquisitions)

10. Wesley Walls (one dimensional, but a TE threat is nice. We have that talent now)

Honorable mention: Mills. Greene, Beurlein, Williams, Minter, Rucker, Witherspoon, Bates (ST), Morgan, and Bill Polian.

anybody that puts minter on an all-time top ten list obviously doesn't know what they are talking about.

And yet you can say anyone who doesn't put minter on the list is afraid to be bashed by others on this forum. In no way was he my favorite player, if that was the case Walls would be first on my list.

Isn't Rucker the 2nd all time sack leader in panthers history. So why didn't he make some of the list in front of greene. (Going by stats as a panther not all time of course)
