Andre Johnson's new deal-- 7 years $73.5 million!

Texans signed WR Andre Johnson to a seven-year, $73.5 million contract.

Johnson becomes the NFL's highest-paid receiver with a two-year, $38.5 million extension on his old five-year deal. It brings his average salary up to $10.5 million per year, slightly more than the four-year, $40M deal Larry Fitzgerald signed in 2008. "This will make him a Texan for life," GM Rick Smith said. When the contract is up in 2016, Johnson will be 35. But for now, the Texans get the league's best wideout in his prime with a smile on his face.
