If my wife goes into labor during a Panthers preseason game...

Recommended Posts

The 30th, but I get a feeling that he is gonna be here sooner...

At her appt. this morning, she was 1cm dilated and about 70% effaced... whatever the hell that means...

The best part was when they did the swabs for the Strep B test... After the doctor left, I told her "Eww, they had to swab your butt... and I saw some brown on the swab when she put it back in the package"

hahaha!

Just now:

Alba just got back from the Dr. and her last ultrasound. Approx. 8lbs. and 0 dilation.

:yikes:

...what is the proper course of action?

Set the DVR?

Just jump up and go, and not worry about the game?

Ask her if she thinks she can hold out for a little bit?

Boil some water?

If your Dvr is not set to record the game the day before it comes on then I know that you are a failure as a fan and just might be one as a dad. That's part of the prep work man.

Baby bag? Check

Car Keys? Check

Dvr? Check

So on and so forth.

Get it together man. You're better than that SLJ... I know you are.

SLJ -

First bro, we gotta talk about your timing here. Football season is 5 months at most with post-season, you've got seven other months to have kids. You should have had Panther football in your line of sight before getting her knocked up.

Second - the hospital room will have a TV in it. No DVR, unfortunately, but TV with cable.

I have two kids, one born in mid-February, the other in July. That's how you get r done, my friend. All kidding aside, best of luck to you both - it's an exciting time. My baby boy just turned one a few weeks ago.

My son was born in October of 1997...and it was a Sat afternoon.

I actually tried to catch a little of the game int he delivery room while she was in labor. From personal experience, I would not suggest trying to make the same move. Was not worth the pain I received.

DVR it.....you will thank me for this advice.
