Jeff Otah getting his knee scoped, might miss season opener

Wow. Don't freak out or anything. 1) Its is a fairly easy and non threatening procedure with a pretty quick recovery. 2) Glad they found out they need to do it now with 4 weeks to recover instead of Otah sucking it up and having to do it mid season while missing 4 games. 3) It will be okay.

A scope is akin to getting a cavity filled to an O-lineman. I had my shoulder and knees scoped when I played and was back lifting weights a week later. And this was in the early 90's when they were making 3 cuts. Now I think they only have one entry point.

Some guys get scopes midseason and you never hear about it. They are back on the field the next game.

It depends on how much they have to clean up in there, but I agree - had my knee scoped on a Monday morning and played that Friday night.
