How does this list of 53 look?

Recommended Posts

With the amount we run the ball, goodsons history of inconsistancy, combined with the fact that Stewart remains on the Pup list; I could easily see us keeping four RBs and two fullbacks. Not to mention we did lose DeAngelo for the end of last season.

Its up to Jackson, I have not really heard much about him but if he indeed looks like the number 1 FB draft prospect coming out of the draft then we will probably keep him. Then again pointing out the fact that the last two FB prospects were drafted in the 4th round and undrafted respectively shows that maybe finding servicable players at the FB postition isn't to hard.

I really think its up to Jackson. If he is showing stuff the front office likes then he will stay, if they don't see anything special about them then he is either on the Practice Squad or gone.

I'll be so pissed if Goodson or Pike is cut, just because they were wasted picks. I think Goodson could be a great back for a team without as much depth at the position; likewise, Pike could be a good project for some team that doesn't have three quarterbacks ahead of him.

But they're not going to be able to do a whole lot here. That's why you don't always pick best player available. It doesn't matter if they're the best player at the time if several better players at their position are already on the roster.
