any way they can make an extra roster spot would be great. Like Baker instead of Carter at KOS, 2 QBs, someone else as LS, whatever. This year is crucial for roster spots. There is NO chance that Jackson makes the team. NO chance. With so many difficult cuts, why carry a needless second fullback when you have Sutton who can fill in at fullback if need be if Fiammetta goes down? Remember, he did a very nice job at fullback last season.

yea i was also thinking rashawn doesnt make it .. but if we cut him hes easily scooped off of waivers .. so unless we think up a fake injury we'll probably keep him

I honestly couldn't say those 3 are an interesting case .. because if one of our signees emerges as a kick returner then he (sutton) loses that job .. then if goodson learns how to run between the tackle he falls back on that 2 .. i think the only way the sutton , jackson thing decides itself is if sutton stays consistent , goodson continues to struggle , and he can show hes still able to make returns (sutton stays) Jackson proves hes just as capable as fiammetta , Goodson learns to run , Sutton is passed up on returns ( jackson stays) .. should be interesting

Was more addressing smf. Sutton is not a FB. If he was, we wouldnt have signed Jackson. Sutton just came in when our 2 FBs that were already on the roster got hurt against NO who already had things wrapped up at the time for the playoffs and had players out on their Dline. Sutton did play well but that is not his natural position. We got 2 #1 ranked FBs from the past 2 drafts and released our long time vet in the offseason. Very high percentage that both Jackson and Fiametta stay.

Edit: Got my Saints games mixed up. But still Sutton isn't meant to be a FB. Jackson will more than likely stay and has been looking good in camp.
