Wallace Wright has been on the first-team unit when the Panthers have gone to three wide receiver sets during practice.

Wright is a special teams ace but has caught only eight passes in his four professional seasons. This isn't a huge surprise, as Steve Smith is injured and the two favorites for the No. 3 role, Brandon LaFell and Armanti Edwards, are rookies that have to start at the bottom of the totem pole. Don't put Wright on your sleeper list.

He has it in his head to overachieve. He works hard. Remember he walked on at UNC was the starting kick returner as a frosh, did not earn a scholly until prior to Junior year, went undrafted but has collected a check in NFL since graduating.

i think his dad or uncle played professional baseball.

So if our WR corp is beat to hell and Davidson plays 3 receiver sets about 1000% more this year than he has in the past two seasons combined, Wallace Wright could see enough snaps to where we could debate that he could be considered a starter.

I think the WR comp is wide open. I will not be supprised if we see all our WRs starting at some point in TC.

I personally think he has EARNED the spot. The guy has been amazing and I have been impressed with him from day one. I'll let you know how he looks tomorrow. Best catch of the day monday by far and it wasnt an easy catch at all.

I like that he has the drive to want to be apart of the offense. It's good knowing that he's not just content being a ST ace.
