May need to move

Currently renting part of a house from a lady in Fort Mill, but was informed yesterday that she's going to sell the house. Unknown as to whether the new owners (whenever someone buys it) will want to keep a renter.

Looking to find an efficiency apartment or a cheap one-bedroom. Have enjoyed living in the Fort Mill, Rock Hill area, but I work in Matthews, so I might be looking to move closer to work and save some gas. I live a kind of Spartan existence (i.e. only what I need, nothing fancy) so efficiencies tend to be the best. Still, I don't want to live in a dump.

Gotta have a place that's pet-friendly since I have the two parrots, of course.

Viewing this as a temporary arrangement since there's a pretty good chance I'll be getting married sometime in the next year or so, and then the Mrs and I will need to find our own place.

Looking for suggestions as to some places to check out, and also what places to avoid.

In all seriousness, there are a ton of apartments near Park and Woodlawn. Great location. Close to Dilworth. Close to South Park. Close to just about anything you would need/want.

One of my wifes friends were renting a house...someone came by and out a foreclosure notice on the door...they had no clue and now have to move.

Just rented out the condo in the SoPa area...but there are many around there doing the same. A better commute to work than Fort Mill.

Balltenyne is the only place that has a REAL yankee butcher for 100 miles. I'd move there for that reason alone.
