Kenny Moore has been the star of TC, what are his regular season expectations?

Moore will play the slot or spell Smith when he is tired. He is only playing in Smith's spot because Smith is out. He doesn't have the blocking skills or the receiving skills to be a number 1. There is a big question as to whether he ever will. Some guys are going to be a number 2 or 3 guy all their career. To be a number 1 guy and constantly perform while drawing the best cornerback on the defense is very difficult.

My hope for Moore is that he can be an effective number 3 or 4 guy and perhaps have 30 catches for 400 yards.

I'm loving this thread and all the responses, especially since everyone and their mom jumped on me back in april for suggesting that kenny moore was ahead of gettis going in, and would likely prevail.

Definitely untrue, Kenny was blocking anybody and everybody from what I've seen, and he's been steadily improving. He'll never be a true #1 but he will be able to work out as a #2.

Same thing was said of Steve Smith up until the 03 season.

Happening or not is not really the point. Right now Smith has to be looking at what this team has in terms of a passing offense and see that opposing defenses will be targeting him non-stop in the passing game. And Smith isn't getting any younger. The best thing that could happen to Smith right now is for another WR to step up and be a #1 or at worst a #1B. If not, Smith is going to have a long season dealing with double and triple coverages.

Steve Smith went to the Pro bowl and set numerous team records his rookie season. Steve Smith earned the starting WR job in 2002.... Kenny Moore has not even came close to doing any of that and is just fighting for the 3rd WR spot. So your logic is incorrect and baseless.
