Kenny Moore has been the star of TC, what are his regular season expectations?

^

Judgement begins when the camera's are rolling.

Show me something in preseason and I will get on your bandwagon Kenny

Understandable skepticism, however how quickly your forget that him and Goodson were the stars of last year's preseason. That said, Kenny Moore is very reminiscent of Rod Smith of the Broncos in the way he plays. Very good route runner and quick with his feet, however not as fast or as high a jumper as you'd like, but he's a very good prospect as our possession WR if it comes down to that.

This is to say, those of you expecting him to be some sort of burner, not happening. That's simply camp smokescreen

That has only happened 3 times from the #2 WR under Fox' watch:

2004-Keary Colbert

2006-Key

2008-Moose

Drew Carter came really close in 2007 having 38 catches and 5 TDs.

Moose had more than 50 catches in 2003, and Mr. Clutch (Ricky Proehl) had 4 td's that year. So it happened by committee that year. :)

40 plus catches would be sufficient. Most of our TD's will be rushing TD's and nothing wrong with that.

Here a prediction for you guys to destory...

I don't know where K. Moore will be depth chart wise at the start of the season, #2, #3? But he will be on the team and will be active to start the season. But at some point in the season K. Moore will become the #1 WR (at least as it is related to balls thrown his way and receptions, TDs, ect.) and will be escorted there by Steve Smith. I have no "inside info" on this but I really think that Smith's comments on the Panthers getting a new #1 was a direct reference to K. Moore getting more throws. Not that its all selfless on Smith's part. Smith knows that if a guy like K. Moore can become a #1 in Carolina, a la Austin Miles in Dallas, it makes his job on the field so much easier and allows Smith to get singal coverage once in a while.

Not really. Moore made the team last year and did catch a few passes.

Sorry not gonna happen. As much as I like Moore he is not gonna be more then a really good slot WR.

Same thing was said of Steve Smith up until the 03 season.

Happening or not is not really the point. Right now Smith has to be looking at what this team has in terms of a passing offense and see that opposing defenses will be targeting him non-stop in the passing game. And Smith isn't getting any younger. The best thing that could happen to Smith right now is for another WR to step up and be a #1 or at worst a #1B. If not, Smith is going to have a long season dealing with double and triple coverages.
