Kenny Moore has been the star of TC, what are his regular season expectations?

just for the record, im going on history here. John Fox is the same guy that refused to put Matt Moore in instead of Delhomme after he keep turning the ball over (hate to bring it up, just my thinking). i just dont see Jarrett getting cut before the season

If Fox was sold on Jarrett he would not have gone so heavy WR in the draft. I just go off the info I was given. It is well know the WR comp is wide open in Carolina.

It is also known one of the reasons we drafted LeFell is because our new WR coach spoke highly of him. Now if Fox goes over to Tyke Tolbert and asks who starts LeFell or Jarrett what do you think his answer will be?

Now I know it goes down to number and Carolina only brings along prob 4 maybe 5 WRs a season. Well we know Steve Smith,LeFell,Edwards are gonna stick around. So that only leaves us with one spot maybe two left and we have to choose between Moore and Jarrett who do you think Tolbert is gonna pick up. A WR that is having a great Camp so far and also plays ST(who the ST coach will also be asking to stay) or a WR that has not showed he can beat out anyone to become active for a game and dose not play ST.

Its simple math really. The competition battle is not between Jarrett and LeFell but Jarrett and Moore. The better one will stay and the other one will look for a new job.

Richard Marshall did not start. Gamble/Lucas did.

Michael Gaines didn't start either according to the box score. Kris Mangum did. They might have came out with some 2 tight end set for the first play perhaps, but Mangum was the #1 tight end.

Gaines started. Whether that was as the #2 TE, I don't remember, but he started.

Just a little factoid. It doesn't take away from your point that rooks outside of the 1st round don't see the field much under Fox.

Lucas, Gamble, and Marshall started. The box score dose not account for Nickle back position. Its only considers you have 2 CBs all the time. Marshall was in the Nickle all season till Lucas went down if I remember right so yup you fail.... and now you will argue that Nickle is not a starting pos right and if so you would be wrong cause Fox stated that the Nickle was a starting pos in Carolina. Its also worth noting that Marshall still plays nickle for Carolina. He would shift to nickle every play last year and Capt. Would play the outside spot. Thus he is still the starter at the Nickle pos.

no d starts 3 corners, its a package.teams dont even do that when they play colts, or saints. usually its 2 corners and 3 backers.

Still, wouldn't you say it is a common enough package and a position that is on the field often enough to be a legitimate position independent of the other two CB's?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the difference between Moore and our usual camp star is that Moore is doing it while working with and against the 1st team offense and defence instead of the 3rd and 4th teams. That's why we should probably take his performance in camp more seriously than the usual star that is making plays against people that have no chance to make the team.

Truth is Moore is only playing with the 1s because Smitty is hurt. Otherwise he would be with the second or third team like those other camp wonders. Right now with contact being limited players can still look better now then they will when corners are actively bumping them off the line, for example. I am hopefully that Moore will step up and be a good receiver for us. However, after so many disapointments it is hard to get too excited.

You just showed how much you do not know. The nickel defense is not a package its a formation. Just like the 4-3,3-4,or the 5-2. Zones, mans, and blitzs are packages. ;)

like it or not, Jarrett will not be cut. he will start. Fox/Hurney will not admit defeat early.

They drafted Jarrett three years ago. I'd say they're late.

Truth is Moore is only playing with the 1s because Smitty is hurt.

I remember last season when another Moore got to play with the first team after the starter went down.
