Steve Smith looking for payback from Giants

lol thats like Marcus Walker going "Larry Fitzgerald who?". Really stupid of Johnson to pull the "i dont know who this player is" card when the player is very well known around the league and he's just a scrub that only fans of his own team know about. Even then thats still not a guarantee that they know who he is.

Steve Smith's reasoning skills are pretty off on this. It was a totally clean hit. There isn't anything to avenge.
Since when does Smitty need a good reason to promise some payback? Some corner could make a comment like "Smith is a pretty good receiver" and he'll promise payback because he didn't say "great".

That hits the nail on the head. He just needs something to get him pumped. Even if it barely makes any sense.

It's funny how the media reacts into this: "Smith told Peter King of Sports Illustrated that he plans on “going after” Giants safety Michael Johnson in the first game of the year at the New Meadowlands Stadium."

Sounds like a driven WR wants to put the burn on the Giants secondary on the inaugural game of the new stadium after the 41-9 beat down the Giants received in the final game of their old stadium. The safety moves in for the deep route assist and it sounds like Smitty would love to "go after" that position in the season opener. No brainer, but I'm going with Smitty on this one...should be a great game to watch.
